About Ben

Benjamin Laham is a New York City–based musician, currently substituting on Keyboard 1 for Wicked on Broadway. Also an active composer and accompanist, he is a 2025 graduate of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where he majored in composition. Guided by a dedication to community in the arts, Laham strives to bridge musical tradition with the evolving landscape of contemporary culture.

Laham's work as a pianist is vast and varied; he is accomplished and proficient in a myriad of styles and settings. Working notably in the classical, jazz, and theater idioms, Laham's pianism has led him from jazz venues, to concert halls, and to the Broadway stage.

Laham’s compositions draw on impressionistic color and late-romantic lyricism, blending the harmonic language of jazz with the dramatic energy of theater. Rooted in improvisation, his works are vivid, personal, and expressive.
